FRAME
The rear subframe was removed and a 180 degree mild steel loop was slugged and welded in place.
The frame, swingarm, yokes and wheels were blasted and powder coated gloss black.
The fork stanchions were machine ground and rechromed. The fork legs were cleaned and polished with the fork internals being serviced along with replacement seals and oils.
The head race bearings and cups were replaced.
All wheel bearings were replaced. Aluminium spacers were machined for the front wheel.
New front and rear sprockets with a gold DID-O ring chain were fitted.
Hagen rear shocks were installed.
BRAKES
The front wheel calliper was replace with a new pattern unit, piston, pads and seals. The front master cylinder is from a Suzuki GSXR 750 with a customer reservoir. A new braided house and fittings join the two.
The rear calliper has been refurbished with replacement seals and pads. The master cylinder has been upgraded to a modern type. A new braided hose and fittings join the two.
ENGINE
The engine was cleaned no degreased.
The cylinder head was removed, decoded and the combustion chamber was lightly polished. The valves were lapped and all seals and gaskets replaced.
The cylinder bores were in good order.
Clutch plates, springs and compression plate were replaced.
The oil pump was inspected and a new oil screen fitted.
The engine was painted with heat proof enamel paint and the cases lightly polished.
A new stainless steel exhaust was installed with a 4 into 1 system.
The carburettors were refurbished with new seals, fuel lines and slow jets. Replacement inlet rubbers and clamps were fitted along with 4 new pod air filters.
The ignition points have been replaced.
NB – The starter motor is in place but wired so currently a kick start machine.
ELECTRICS & LIGHTS
The entire loom was replaced (circuit breaker only no fuses).
A quality combined rectifier/ regulator was installed.
Ignition coils, HT leads, caps and spark plugs were replaced.
The ignition on / off switch is hidden (there is no key).
The tail light mount is machined from aluminium billet and is fitted with a Led cluster. Functioning tail and brake (front and rear switches).
A replica Bates 5 3/4 inch headlight is mounted to the top yoke via machined aluminium mounting legs.
A small switch gear mounted to the handbags operates the bed light and a 12v horn.
FINISH
A custom seat pan has been covered is in black leather effect vinyl with a machine stitched tuck & roll effect.
The tank is finished in gloss black with gold Honda decals. The original Monza style cap remains.
Trials style chromed 7/8ths handle bars with genuine Amal grips have been fitted.
Tyres are Heidenau K60”s.
Stainless steel engine bolts are fitted.
Custom oil filler cap fitted.
Trials style foot pegs fitted.
Replacement kickstart and gear lever rubbers fitted.
